Tajuana Approved: Things Making My Life Easier Right Now
Welcome back to another edition of Tajuana Approved—where I share the things I actually own, actually use, and would happily recommend to a friend.
Because if you know me, you know I’m absolutely the person who will say, “WAIT. I have something for that,” and immediately send you a link.
This time, we’re talking about the little things making my everyday life easier, cozier, more organized or just a little less chaotic.
These are things that have already earned a spot in my actual life—and therefore earned the Tajuana Approved stamp.
Some are practical. Some are self-care. Some help keep my ADHD brain together. And some simply make me happy.
All valid reasons, if you ask me.

1. Weighted Blanket
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: My weighted blanket has become one of those things I reach for when I need to decompress, especially at night. There's something about the extra weight that makes me feel cozy, grounded, and ready to stop doing all the things.
Listen.
Sometimes I need my nervous system to sit ALL the way down.
And because my brain occasionally likes to use bedtime as an opportunity to review every thought I've had since 2007, anything that helps signal we are DONE for the day gets my approval.
Perfect for: Cozy nights, decompressing after overstimulating days, winding down before bed, and anyone who loves the feeling of being tucked in without actually having another human touching them.
2. Book Lamp
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: I can read without lighting up the entire room, and it comes in especially handy when I'm trying to squeeze in just one more chapter.
Which, obviously, is rarely actually one chapter.
For the nights when everyone else is sleeping and I am absolutely NOT putting my book down yet.
A book lamp is one of those tiny purchases that doesn't seem particularly exciting until you have one—and then suddenly you're wondering why you've been trying to angle a bedside lamp toward your book for years.
Perfect for: Bedtime readers, partners who would prefer not to sleep under stadium lighting, late-night reading sessions, and anyone regularly betrayed by the phrase “just one more chapter.”
3. Kindle
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: I can carry an entire library around without carrying an entire library around. I can read in bed, throw it in my bag, take it on vacation, and immediately start another book when I finish one.
I love a physical book. I will probably always love physical books.
But the Kindle? Convenience wins.
And for someone whose TBR list apparently has no upper limit, having books instantly available is both incredibly convenient and possibly dangerous.
Perfect for: Book lovers, busy moms, travel, bedtime reading, and anyone who wants approximately 700 books available at all times…just in case.
4. Day Designer Planner
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: My ADHD brain needs somewhere OUTSIDE of my ADHD brain to put things.
Enter…the planner.
I love having a physical place where I can see my day, write things down, make lists, and attempt to organize the approximately 42 things floating around in my head at any given moment.
Yes, I use digital tools too. Yes, I still need paper. We contain multitudes.
There's also something incredibly satisfying about physically writing something down and then checking it off.
Will I occasionally write something on my list that I've already completed specifically so I can check it off? That's between my planner and me.
Perfect for: ADHD brains, list makers, busy moms, people juggling approximately 97 responsibilities, and anyone who gets an unreasonable amount of satisfaction from checking a little box.
5. Pilot FriXion Erasable Gel Pens
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: ERASABLE. PENS.
Do I really need to say more? Actually, yes, because I have thoughts.
I love writing things down, but I also love changing my mind. Plans move. Appointments change. Schedules shift. I write something in the wrong place.
Being able to erase PEN without turning my planner into a scratched-out mess?
Immediately approved.
They give me the satisfaction of writing in pen without requiring me to commit to that decision for the rest of eternity.
Perfect for: Planner people, perfectionists, ADHD brains, schedule changers, and anyone who wants their planner to look cute even though their actual life is constantly moving things around.
6. Ultima Replenisher Daily Electrolytes
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: This is one of those simple additions to my routine that requires very little effort—which is exactly the kind of wellness habit I can get behind.
Apparently drinking water is something I'm supposed to remember to do every day.
Rude.
Adding electrolytes makes hydration a little more interesting and gives me something I actually want to drink instead of realizing at 4 PM that I've been surviving on vibes and whatever was in my morning cup.
If something requires seventeen steps before I've even had breakfast, it's probably not happening.
Perfect for: Busy days, workouts, hot summer days, people trying to drink more water, and anyone who occasionally realizes they've made it halfway through the day without properly hydrating.
7. Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: The Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil gives me that glossy, juicy-lip look while still feeling comfortable enough for everyday wear.
I love something I can throw on quickly that makes me feel a little more put together without requiring an entire makeup situation.
It's the kind of thing that lives in my bag because I can put it on without a mirror and immediately feel like I made slightly more effort than I actually did.
That's efficiency.
Perfect for: Everyday wear, low-maintenance makeup days, throwing something on before school drop-off or errands, and anyone who wants a little glossy moment without doing the absolute most.
8. Thrive Causemetics Mascara
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: Thrive Mascara gives me the lashes without requiring an entire lewk to go with them.
Mascara is one of those things I can throw on even when I'm doing the absolute bare minimum with my makeup and instantly feel more put together.
And that is exactly the kind of beauty product I need in my life.
I'm not trying to spend 45 minutes doing my makeup on a random Tuesday morning. I need something I can swipe on, look awake, and keep it moving.
Easy. Quick. Does what I need it to do.
Perfect for: Busy mornings, minimal makeup days, moms who have approximately seven minutes to get themselves ready, and anyone who believes mascara absolutely counts as putting on makeup.
9. Body Pillow
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: I love having the extra support when I'm sleeping, lounging, reading, or just trying to find a comfortable position after a long day.
If you've gathered anything from this list, it's probably that I take being comfortable VERY seriously.
And I stand by that.
A body pillow is one of those things that once you get used to sleeping with it, suddenly you're arranging yourself around it every night like it's an essential member of the household.
Between this and my weighted blanket, my bed is basically becoming a nest.
Exactly as intended.
Perfect for: Side sleepers, bedtime readers, lounging, extra support, cozy people, and anyone currently working toward turning their bed into the ultimate comfort cocoon.
10. Miracase Car Phone Holder
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: My Miracase phone holder keeps my phone where I can easily see it when I'm using navigation without having to pick it up or figure out where the heck it went.
I need my phone to have a HOME in the car. Not sliding around the passenger seat. Not disappearing underneath something. Not sitting in my cup holder where I inevitably need to put an actual cup. A designated home.
It's one of those incredibly boring purchases that quietly makes everyday life easier.
And those might actually be my favorite kind.
Perfect for: Navigation, commuting, road trips, keeping your phone in one predictable place, and anyone who has ever arrived somewhere and then spent five minutes searching the car for the phone that was literally just there.
11. Chestnut Commuter Backpack
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: This commuter backpack gives me the organization and space I need while still looking polished enough to carry to work.
I needed a bag that could handle work life, mom life, and all the random things I apparently need to carry with me every day without looking like I was hauling my entire household around.
And I am absolutely a pockets and compartments person. If everything has a designated place, there's at least a fighting chance my ADHD brain will remember where I put it.
Laptop? Home.
Planner? Home.
Pens? Home.
Random thing I shoved into a pocket three weeks ago and completely forgot existed? Also apparently has a home.
Perfect for: Work commuters, busy moms, laptop-carrying, planner people, ADHD brains that function better when everything has a designated spot, and anyone who wants a practical work bag that still looks cute.
12. Chestnut Cosmetic Case
Why it’s Tajuana Approved: Makeup, lip products, personal-care things—all contained in ONE place that I can grab instead of digging through twelve pockets looking for the lip oil that I know I packed.
Naturally, if I'm going to carry approximately half my life around in a backpack, the smaller things need their own little home too.
I use a cosmetic case to keep the little essentials together instead of letting them migrate to the bottom of my bag, never to be seen again.
Organization that also happens to be cute? Tajuana Approved.
Perfect for: Keeping everyday essentials organized, work bags, travel, purse organization, and anyone tired of digging around the bottom of their bag like they're searching for buried treasure.
The Final Verdict
Do you need everything on this list? Probably not.
Do I use them enough that I would tell a friend about them? Absolutely!!
And that's really the point of Tajuana Approved.
I'm not interested in throwing a bunch of random products into a roundup just because I can link them. If I'm putting something here, it's because it has actually made its way into my routine and I've used it enough to have an opinion.
And trust me…I usually have an opinion.
Some things help keep me organized. Some help me decompress.
Some make reading easier. Some help me remember to hydrate.
Some make getting out the door—and through the workday—a little easier. And some just make my lips look cute.
All equally important…obviously!!
Do you have something that you think deserves the Tajuana Approved treatment?
Please send it my way. I'm always willing to investigate.
