Everything Won't Fit
The Pressure of How Things Are “Supposed” to Look
From conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn days, infant days, toddler years, and beyond, everyone has an opinion about how things "should be" done. "Should be" road is a dangerous one to travel on because it's jam-packed with broken dreams, failed attempts, and exits that go nowhere and never fail to disappoint. What works for you won't necessarily work for others, and that is okay.
Every Journey Is Different
Every child is different, and every mama is different, and everyone deserves to travel through life at their own pace and on their own time; life isn't a race. Social media is a highlight reel of everyone's "perfect" life and never behind the scenes footage because what if something doesn't work, what if something doesn't fit; what if? What if everyone shared the moments that didn't work out, that didn't fit, that weren't quite right? That rain cloud of failure would disappear because then you would see that other people have tried certain things that also didn't work for them.
The Beauty in Imperfection
Wouldn't it be a boring world if everything you tried fit? Where is the fun in that?! That takes away the surprises, the challenges, the discovery; it would take away all of that. The beauty lies in the not fitting.
Everything won't fit, and that's okay.
