A Letter to My Firstborn
I wrote this letter to my firstborn on June 4, right before his little brother was born on June 8. I was feeling every emotion, and I wanted to never forget the last few days we shared together, just him and me, before he became a big brother.
To My First Little Love,
In the coming days, our lives will change (for the better) forever when we officially become a family of 4.
For a short while, your brother will need me more than you need me, just until he gets on his feet. I will have to focus on him more just for a short while.
Before our lives change, I want you to know this. I loved YOU first. I needed YOU first. I love you beyond measure, and that will NEVER change. Please know that it is because of YOU I am Mama. Thank YOU for teaching (and still are) me things I didn't know I needed to learn.
I will forever be grateful that we got to spend your last days as you, being my first love, together, just the two of us.
I cannot wait for you and your brother to meet and form an unbreakable bond ❤️. I cannot wait to love on both of you, together. You and your brother are my greatest gifts.
Please never forget that I loved YOU first. I needed YOU first.
Love,
Mama
